The Panasonic 6in1 Sensor (6DoF Automotive Inertial Sensor) is a new technology for automotive and industrial applications extremely highly accuracy, flexibility and sensitivity are required.

Panasonic Infrared Motion Sensors are designed for a variety of smart solutions including smart home and building, IoT, medical imaging, robotics, digital signage and people counting. Passive Infrared Sensors allow easy integration and high reliability with environment-friendly materials. The Grid-EYE® MEMs-based Infrared Array Sensor determines thermal presence, direction of motion, and temperature values of people and objects.

For Industrial Automation, high accuracy thru-beam and reflective Laser Measurement Sensors are IP67 rated for harsh environments, with some models designed for high speed, high precision.

Panasonic Gyro Sensors detect angular rate for vehicle navigation, navigation incline detection / direction of movement, and rollover detection. They are also suitable for use with robots and robotic solutions.


Panasonic Passive Infrared or Pyroelectric PIR Motion Sensors are available in a wide variety of current consumption options and offer both digital and analog output options. Both the EKMB and EKMC Series offer many lens options suitable for various applications, detection distance, ceiling installation height, field of view, and detection zone requirements. The EKMB and EKMC Series lens type options include Standard Detection, Long Distance, Wall Installation, Saturn Lens (Standard and Slight Detection), Wide Field of View, High Density/Long Distance, Slight Motion, Low Profile, Wide Area Detection, Ultra Slight Motion, and Flat Square lens types. Most lenses are available in white, black, or pearl white.

Offering simplified circuitry with a fully integrated Sensor design, Panasonic’s EKMB Series requires consumption as low as 1micro A current, which is suitable for battery-driven wireless equipment. The EKMC Series is suitable for battery-free devices at a standard current consumption of 170micro A and is available in standard, high, and low detection sensitivities.

The latest PIR Motion Sensor lens design type options include the new “Flat Square Lens” offering a low profile in various detection zones and the new “Wide Area Detection” Type offering a wide detection spanning over 10.8 meters as well as the new “Ultra Slight Motion” Type with improved sensitivity.

From Ultra-Thin Lead Frames To Iron Sheets

Panasonic’s Grid-EYE® Wide Angle Type Infrared Array Sensor is an 8×8, 64-pixel Infrared Array Sensor. This Sensor offers digital output (I2C) external interface for thermal presence, direction, and temperature values. A built-in lens includes an improved 90-degree viewing angle and features a compact SMD design using MEMS thermopile technology. Available in two operating voltage options of 3.3 V and 5.0 V.

Applications for the Grid-EYE® Wide Angle Type Sensor include human detection, people counting, thermal mapping, digital signage, security, lighting control, kiosk/ATM, medical imaging, automatic doors, robotics, and much more.
