Overview

Automation components for machines, panels and plants

Every automated machine is built from the same layers. A controller (PLC or motion controller) runs the logic. An operator interface (HMI) lets people see and change what is happening. Drives and motors (AC drives, VFDs, servo and gear motors) create the movement. Feedback devices (encoders and sensors) tell the controller what actually happened, and cables and control components (relays, timers, power supplies, pneumatics) tie it together.

Our industrial automation products in India cover each of these layers, so an OEM, panel builder or plant maintenance team can source a full bill of materials through one enquiry. We work with ranges from Yaskawa and Panasonic as well as products from makes such as Delta, Omron, Fuji, Baumer, Leuze, Hengstler, Mindman, Phoenix Contact and GIC.

Whether you need a single replacement drive to restart a stopped line or components for a new machine build, send the part numbers or the application details and we will come back with options and a quotation.

How to select industrial automation products

Replacing an existing part? The fastest route is the full part number from the nameplate, plus a photo. Many drives, PLCs and HMIs have suffixes that change voltage, communication or firmware, so the complete code matters. If the original is obsolete, we can suggest a current equivalent and point out any wiring, mounting or programming differences.

Building or upgrading a machine? Work from the load outward:

  • Motor and drive: size from load torque, speed range, duty cycle and supply voltage. Use a VFD or AC drive for speed control of induction motors, and a servo system where you need fast, accurate positioning.
  • Gearing: a gear motor or servo gearbox reduces speed and multiplies torque. Check ratio, backlash and mounting.
  • Feedback: incremental encoders give speed and relative position; absolute encoders keep position through power loss. Choose resolution, shaft type and interface (for example SSI, BiSS, DeviceNet or EtherCAT).
  • Controller: count digital and analogue I/O, add spare capacity and confirm the communication protocols your plant uses.
  • HMI: pick screen size and type to match the amount of information operators need, and confirm it talks to your PLC.
  • Sensors: match sensing principle to the target: inductive for metal, capacitive for non-metals and levels, photoelectric for longer ranges, ultrasonic for difficult surfaces.

Finally, check the environment: temperature, dust, moisture, vibration and the IP rating needed in the panel or on the machine.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Still have a question? Call +91 90433 36700 or send an enquiry.

What is the difference between an AC drive and a VFD?

In everyday use the terms mean the same thing: an electronic controller that changes the frequency and voltage supplied to an AC induction motor to control its speed. Some manufacturers use AC drive for the broader product family and VFD for general-purpose models, but the selection criteria are the same: motor rating, supply voltage, load type and control features.

Can you supply a replacement for an obsolete drive, PLC or HMI?

Often, yes. Send the full part number and a photo of the nameplate. If the exact model is still available we quote it; if it has been discontinued we can suggest a current equivalent and highlight any differences in wiring, mounting, communication or programming that your team should plan for.

When should I use a servo motor instead of a VFD and induction motor?

Use a servo system when you need fast, accurate positioning, high dynamic response or synchronised motion, such as in packaging, indexing or CNC axes. A VFD with an induction motor is simpler and more economical when you mainly need speed control, as on pumps, fans and conveyors.

What is the difference between incremental and absolute encoders?

An incremental encoder outputs pulses as the shaft turns, so the controller counts them to work out speed and relative position; position is lost when power is off. An absolute encoder gives a unique position value at every point, so the machine knows where it is immediately after power-up. Multiturn absolute encoders also track the number of revolutions.

Do you supply complete control panels?

We list customised control panels among our products and can quote components for your own panel build. Share the drawing or bill of materials, or describe the machine and functions you need, and we will advise what we can supply.

Which brands do you supply?

Our listings include Yaskawa and Panasonic ranges as well as products from makes such as Delta, Omron, Fuji, Baumer, Leuze, Hengstler, Mindman, Phoenix Contact and GIC. Availability varies by model, so send part numbers and we will confirm options and a quotation.
