Conveyors & material handling
Spiral conveyor manufacturer in Mumbai for floor-to-floor transfer
Industrisol is a spiral conveyor manufacturer and supplier for factories and warehouses in Mumbai and across India. Our vertical spiral conveyors lift or lower boxes, crates and totes between levels on a steady slope, using a fraction of the floor area an inclined conveyor needs.
- Powered spirals up to about 20 m lift height
- Gravity spirals for lowering without a motor
- Roller or belt carrying surface, galvanised or coated steel
- Designed around your product, levels and throughput
Why choose a spiral conveyor
A spiral conveyor wraps the conveying path around a central column, so product climbs or descends on a uniform helical slope. It needs only a round footprint, typically about 2 to 3 m across, instead of the long run an inclined belt conveyor takes to reach the same height. That makes it the practical way to link a ground-floor packing hall to a mezzanine, or carry product over an aisle.
Because the slope is constant and gentle, product travels without tipping or sliding back, and the flow is continuous rather than batch-by-batch. Spirals are used in food service, FMCG, e-commerce dispatch, beverage crates and general manufacturing. As a spiral conveyor manufacturer working with buyers in Mumbai and across India, we size the diameter, pitch and drive to your load.
Spiral conveyor models
Vertical spiral conveyor
A large-diameter spiral in MS pipe construction with steel rollers, made to order for multi-level lifts. Simple controls and quick adjustment.
| Spiral diameter | 3000 mm |
|---|---|
| Overall size | 14500 mm high x 2800 mm wide |
| Roller | Steel, 50 mm diameter |
| Frame | MS pipe, coated |
| Ref. code | 2 |
Compact spiral conveyor system
A compact automatic spiral for boxes and flat-bottomed crates, between floors, between machines or over aisles, with smooth handling on a uniform slope.
| Lift height | Up to 15 m |
|---|---|
| Belt width | Up to 400 mm |
| Speed | Up to 60 m/min, adjustable |
| Rollers | Steel |
| Surface | Galvanised |
| Ref. code | 6 |
Industrial vertical spiral conveyor
A heavy-duty spiral for high loads and tall lifts. Low-resistance idlers and cold-drawn steel axles support stable running floor to floor or top floor to ground.
| Lift height | Up to 20 m |
|---|---|
| Belt width | 400 mm |
| Load | About 150 kg per ft |
| Speed | Up to 120 m/min |
| Supply | 420 V, three phase, 50 to 60 Hz |
| Frame | Mild steel, coated |
| Ref. code | 7 |
Gravity spiral conveyor
Lowers loads from an upper level without a drive. Full rollers or skate wheels let product descend in a controlled way by gravity alone.
| Height | About 10 m |
|---|---|
| Width | 800 mm |
| Load | About 100 kg per ft |
| Rollers | Steel |
| Drive | None for pure gravity lowering |
Spiral conveyor versus other vertical options
| Option | Footprint | Flow | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spiral conveyor | Small, round | Continuous | Cartons, crates, totes between floors |
| Inclined belt conveyor | Long | Continuous | Low lifts with floor space available |
| Vertical reciprocating conveyor (VRC) | Small, square | Batch | Pallets and heavy loads, low rate |
| Gravity spiral | Small, round | Continuous, down only | Lowering from mezzanine to dispatch |
Details a spiral conveyor manufacturer in Mumbai needs to size a spiral
Not sure about some details? Send what you have — we will ask the right follow-up questions.
- Product type, base, size and weight
- Lift or drop height and number of levels
- Direction: up, down or both
- Throughput per hour
- Infeed and outfeed directions
- Space available for the spiral footprint
- Ambient conditions: chilled, wash-down or dusty
How much floor space does a spiral conveyor need?
The footprint is roughly the spiral diameter plus the infeed and outfeed sections. Compact spirals fit in about 2 to 3 m diameter, while larger models such as our 3000 mm diameter spiral need more. That is usually far less than an inclined conveyor climbing the same height. Share your floor plan and we will check the fit.
Can one spiral conveyor serve several floors?
Yes. A spiral can have entry and exit points at intermediate levels, so one unit can link a ground floor, a mezzanine and an upper floor. Each extra transfer point adds controls and guarding, so tell us how many levels need loading or unloading.
What is the difference between a powered and a gravity spiral?
A powered spiral uses a motor to drive the belt or slats, so it can lift product up and control its speed. A gravity spiral has free rollers or skate wheels and only lowers product, using its weight. Gravity spirals cost less to run but suit only downward flow and loads that roll well.
What products can travel on a spiral conveyor?
Spirals handle cartons, crates, totes, trays, bags and packaged goods with a stable base. Very small or round items may need side guides or a different carrying surface. Loose bulk material is better handled by other equipment. Send product photos and sizes and we will confirm suitability.
