Why fit water saving devices?
Only a very small share of the world's fresh water is readily available for use, and many Indian cities face seasonal shortages and tanker dependence. In a building, much of the waste happens at the fixture: taps left running at full flow, long showers and full-volume flushes.
Water saving devices tackle this at the point of use. They lower the flow of each fixture, shut water off automatically or reduce the volume per flush. Because the change is built into the fixture, savings happen every time, without relying on people to change habits.
Saving water also saves energy: less water has to be pumped, treated, stored, heated and sent for treatment after use. That cuts electricity bills and the building's carbon footprint along with the water bill.

Water saving tap nozzles
Brass mist, spray and shower nozzles that bring tap flow down to as little as 0.3 LPM.
Tap aerators
Foam, laminar, shower and mist aerators from 1.2 to 8 LPM for basins and kitchens.
Pressmatic taps
Self-closing push taps that shut off after a few seconds, ideal for public washrooms.
Water saver shower heads
Low-flow shower heads that use far less than a standard shower.
Flush tank bank
Sits in the cistern to reduce the water used in every flush.
Health faucet water saver
Limits the high flow of washroom health faucets.
Flow restrictors for non-threaded taps
Restrict flow on taps, showers and pipes that have no thread.
Mist spa shower
Atomizing shower head that gives full coverage with low water flow.
Washing machine tap connector
Connects a washing machine hose securely to a tap to prevent leaks.
Where water is used and how to save it
Typical figures for common fixtures. Actual savings depend on pressure and usage.
| Fixture | Typical conventional flow | Water saving device | Approximate flow after |
|---|---|---|---|
| Washbasin tap | 8 to 15 LPM | Mist nozzle or spray aerator | 0.3 to 2 LPM |
| Kitchen sink tap | 8 to 15 LPM | Laminar or foam aerator | 4 to 6 LPM |
| Shower | About 12 LPM or more | Low-flow shower head | About 5 LPM or less |
| Public washroom tap | Runs until closed | Pressmatic self-closing tap | Shuts off after a few seconds |
| Toilet cistern | Full tank per flush | Dual-flush converter or tank bank | Reduced volume per flush |
Other ways to save water in a building
- Sensor taps dispense water only while hands are under the spout.
- Automatic shut-off valves between the pipe and shower head let users pause flow while soaping, then resume at the same temperature.
- Dual-flush converters give a small flush for liquid waste and a full flush only when needed.
- Grey water diverters collect lightly used water from showers and laundry for flushing or gardening.
- Rainwater harvesting and storage tanks reduce dependence on municipal or tanker supply.
- Rain shut-off devices and weather-based irrigation controllers stop sprinklers running when the soil is already wet.
- Water meters and automatic pump controllers help track use and stop overhead tank overflow.

What are the most effective water saving devices for a building?
For most buildings the biggest gains come from tap nozzles or aerators on washbasins, low-flow shower heads, pressmatic or sensor taps in public washrooms, and dual-flush converters or tank banks on toilets. These are low-cost retrofits that work on existing fixtures and save water every time they are used.
Do water saving devices need a plumber to install?
Most do not. Tap nozzles and aerators screw onto the tap, shower heads screw onto the arm, and tank banks sit inside the cistern. Pressmatic taps, sensor taps and dual-flush converters replace existing parts and are best fitted by a plumber.
Will low-flow fittings reduce comfort?
Modern low-flow fittings are designed to feel effective. Aerators mix in air, and mist or spray nozzles spread water over the hands, so users rarely notice the lower volume. Choosing the right flow for each fixture, such as more for kitchens and less for basins, keeps comfort high.
Can water saving devices reduce electricity bills?
Yes. Less water used means less pumping from sumps to overhead tanks, less treatment and, for hot water, less heating. Buildings with booster pumps and water heaters usually see energy savings alongside lower water consumption.
Do you supply devices for housing societies and offices in bulk?
Yes. We supply water saving devices in bulk for offices, housing societies, hotels, hospitals and institutions in Mumbai and across India. Share your fixture count for a consolidated quotation.
